Ashton Salwan’s 2024 water ramp season marked an exciting chapter in his freestyle aerial skiing career. Traveling across Switzerland, USA, and Australia, he gained valuable experience, sharpened his skills, and continued making his mark on the international scene.
Ashton launched his season in Mettmenstetten, Switzerland, with his first-ever entry in the FIS Freestyle Water Ramp series. Competing solo for the U.S., he landed a 17th-place finish — a solid introduction that helped him better understand the international field and refine his approach.
In August, Ashton returned to Utah Olympic Park in Park City, Utah, for one of the most competitive stops on the circuit. This time, he placed 9th overall and ranked 2nd among U.S. men — a clear sign that his hard work and consistent effort were paying off.
The final stop brought Ashton to the Geoff Henke Olympic Winter Training Center in Brisbane, Australia. Against a world-class lineup, he delivered one of his best showings yet, finishing 4th overall. As the only American in the field, this near-podium result showed just how far he’s come in both technique and mindset.
