Selected for the Olympic Team

U.S. Ski & Snowboard has officially named Ashton Salwan to the U.S. Olympic Team, selecting him to represent the United States in Freestyle Aerials at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

The selection marks a defining milestone in Salwan’s rise on the international stage. Over multiple World Cup seasons, he has steadily established himself among the world’s top aerialists — earning multiple World Cup finals appearances while advancing difficulty against the deepest fields in the sport, and demonstrating the consistency and composure required to compete at the highest level.

During the 2024/25 and 2025/26 World Cup seasons, he competed across North America, Europe, and Asia, gaining experience in some of the most demanding venues on the tour. Those performances reflected not only technical progression, but also adaptability across varied conditions — an essential quality for Olympic competition.

Salwan’s Olympic selection reflects both competitive results and trajectory. As his degree of difficulty increased, so did his reliability under pressure, positioning him as a trusted contributor in one of freestyle skiing’s most exacting disciplines.

The Milano-Cortina Games will mark Salwan’s Olympic debut. Freestyle Aerials competition will take place in Livigno, Italy, a high-alpine venue in northern Italy known for its challenging terrain and winter-sport heritage. The setting is expected to host one of the deepest aerials fields in Olympic history.

As preparations continue, Salwan remains focused on training, recovery, and execution — carrying forward the same measured approach that has defined his journey to this point.
